How long do I have to wait before I can paint my plastered wall or ceiling?

We recommend waiting a full week before painting your new paster area. Plasterboard takes on average 2-3 days to dry when plastered, whereas backing plaster takes 4-6 days. Waiting a full week ensures that your plaster is dry and ready to paint.
